Our Vision

Our Federation Vision Statement

A shared Christian ethos underpins life at Leesland for everyone. This is explained through our core Christian values.

We believe that learning should be fun, purposeful and challenging. Through excellent teaching and our inspirational curriculum we equip each child with the skills they need for lifelong learning. We develop confident learners, who take ownership of their learning and are proud of their achievements. We provide an all-round education by recognising that each child is unique. We develop the character of each child: intellectual abilities, mental resilience, moral and civic responsibility.  This is because Jesus particularly valued the human qualities of the individual.

We believe that every child deserves the highest quality education. Through positive attitudes and partnerships we develop children’s personal qualities, social skills and wellbeing as well as academic achievement; meeting individual needs in a safe and secure environment where both individuality and collaboration are celebrated. We recognise that character building is not developed solely through curricular opportunities but through relationships with others.  All adults working in our school are in the privileged position of shaping our children’s thoughts, actions and values through their own interactions.

We believe that all members of our school community should work together to maintain a safe, pleasant and stimulating environment which encompasses not only the learning environment and school grounds, but the surrounding area also.

We promote sustainability and an awareness of wider global issues through our curriculum and the links made with our local and global communities.

We believe that good teamwork and positive partnerships- with individual children, the whole class, our colleagues, with governors, parents and the wider community will lead to effective teaching, high standards and successful learning.
