Wearing a school uniform encourages a sense of belonging, a feeling of pride and an identity with the school, as well as a sense of equality with all the other children. Please ensure that all clothing is labelled with your child’s name and checked regularly.
Our school uniform is as follows:
Dark green jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan
Dark grey/black tailored trousers or shorts (knee length shorts for girls & no fashion trousers)
Dark grey/black skirt—extremes of length are not permitted
White shirts/blouses or polo shirts
Green/white checked or striped dress
Black or brown shoes with black, white, grey or green socks/tights
Wellington boots and a water-proof coat for “Free Range” play during
lunchtime at the Juniors.
Trainers or training style shoes, boots of any colour, backless or open shoes, or shoes with platforms or high heels are not appropriate for school. Leisurewear including hair accessories and novelty head bands are also not acceptable. Hair should be of one natural colour, grade 2 or longer.
In the Infant school:
Your child will need plain green, black or white shorts and a t-shirt in their house colour. All children will need a pair of plimsolls.
In the Junior school:
A plain t-shirt in your child’s house colour with plain green, black, white or grey shorts and plimsolls. For outdoor PE, trainers and tracksuits (in winter) are also required. Swimming shorts or one piece swimsuit, towel & hat for swimming.
We do not have space for large bags or back packs in school. Book bags are available from the school offices. PE bags and swimming hats can be bought from the Junior school office.
Alternatively children may use their own draw-string bag or a plastic carrier bag for their PE kit.
