Governors

Welcome to our Governors’ section.

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

A governor role can be a difficult and demanding role, but also produces its own rewards when we can see the standards of care and evidence of hard work and dedication of all the members of the teaching and non-teaching staff and being a part of the difference our schools make to our children.

All boards, no matter what type of schools or how many schools they govern, have three core functions:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  2. Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation  and it's pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
  3. Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

All governors give their time freely and are a dedicated team of volunteers including parents, church, community and staff governors here to support the work of the federation and to act with the best interest of all our pupils. We also undertake training and keep up to date with policies and legislation so that we can be the best we can be. Visiting the schools to monitoring work, attend Collective Worship and meetings.

The Chair of Governors can be contacted via either school office - by phone, email or in person.

There are no current business or financial interests of governors which are relevant to the federation.

All pecuniary interests are declared annually and checked at the start of each meeting.
