Number Facts
By the end of Year 1, children should be able to recall the number facts to make all numbers between 1 and 10. They should also be able to apply this knowledge to support them with working out subtraction facts.
In Year 2, we focus on building on this recall to add numbers within 20. We then start add larger 2 digit number by making links and applying this basic knowledge.
We also start to learn our 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We start by counting in jumps of 2s, 5s and 10s before moving on to learning the multiplication facts.
