Peer Presentations

Following our recent EARA network meeting, the children decided to create 'Birthday Rights Posters'. They used the UN Rights of a child information to create a poster that promotes that right. They were all very good and they children were very proud.

EARA have been busy recruiting new members! The children delivered an assembly, promoting EARA club and the role they play across the federation. They then created an application form which was given to everyone wanting to apply. When all application forms were handed in, EARA read every form and discussed the responses. Finally, the children carried out interviews to help them make the final decision. EARA were very impressed with everyone and found it really difficult to select three new members. Well done everyone!

Meeting with the Heads of School! Our EARA group met with Mrs Wigley and Mrs Livings to discuss their plans and aspirations for EARA across the federation. The children planned their key points and presented them very well. Lots of exciting things ahead!

Collective Worship 16.01.25

EARA group did a brilliant job of introducing their new logo to both the Infant school and the Junior school. During our Collective Worship, the children also conducted an interactive presentation exploring the link between jobs and gender stereotypes.  EARA challenged some children to draw a picture of a person with a specific job.

Scientist / Astronaut / Performer / Dentist.

At the end of the task, the children enquired about the drawings and asked about the gender of their pictures. EARA then explained the importance of not sticking to gender stereotypes, rather to aspire to be anything you want to be.
